Welcome! This tool was designed to help visualize and aid in the design of end grain cuttingboards.
To design an end-grain cutting board, simply enter the desired dimensions
in the form and press "Show me the money!"

A larger image will be shown at the bottom of this page.
Desired Cuttingboard Thickness (1.5 inches or more is recommended)
Desired Row Height
Desired Number of Rows
Sawblade kerf (0.125 inches is recommended as a conservative guess)
Desired Extra Cuttingboard Thickness for planing (0.2 inch minimum recommended)

Note: To make your cutting board symmetrical, you must have an even number of columns,
and you must manually enter the same thickness for oposing columns.
I recommend making the two outside columns slighty larger, and trimming them to size after gluing.
You do not have to use all 12 columns!
